Riding helps disabled children

As a physio I have always been interested in Hippotherapy (Hippo being old Greek word for horse) which is using the horse as therapy. That can be physical, mental and social therapy. There have been much research into the benefits of hippotherapy over the years and I did my undergraduate dissertation on the benefits for children with Cerebral Palsy. Here is some recent news that shows the research into such a valuable source of therapy is still ongoing and providing proof of the benefits. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/news/397/315406.html
